Pilot & Implementation
DERES is currently in pilot development. We are working with a small number of engineering organisations to test the platform in real project environments.
A platform, a service, and a governance framework.
DERES is not just software. It is a complete decision-support system that combines a technical platform with structured onboarding, training, and governance templates. The platform is only as useful as the processes and people around it.
Software Platform
The DERES actor-network engine: data ingestion, entanglement recomputation, indicator calculation, alert generation, and decision logging. Accessible via web interface.
Onboarding & Implementation Service
Structured onboarding to map your project's actor-network, integrate your data sources, and configure the platform for your governance context.
Training & Governance Templates
Role-specific training for project managers, design managers, procurement leads, and ESG teams. Governance templates for decision logging, escalation, and reporting.
Three phases. Twenty weeks. Measurable outcomes.
Discover & Map
- Stakeholder workshops to understand current risk and change management workflows
- Mapping of existing data sources: change logs, quality systems, procurement records
- Initial actor-network model construction for a defined project scope
- Identification of key entanglement pathways and data gaps
OUTCOME: A validated actor-network model and a clear data integration plan.
Integrate & Test
- Data integration: connecting project data sources to the DERES model
- Live testing of the entanglement recomputation engine on real project events
- Team training on platform use, indicator interpretation, and decision logging
- Governance template deployment: decision log formats, escalation protocols
OUTCOME: A live, project-connected DERES instance with trained users and active decision logging.
Evaluate & Refine
- Systematic review of early-warning performance against project events
- Stakeholder feedback sessions: usability, relevance, governance value
- Refinement of indicator thresholds, network model parameters, and alert logic
- Pilot evaluation report: findings, recommendations, and next-phase roadmap
OUTCOME: A published pilot evaluation report and a refined platform ready for wider deployment.
How we measure whether DERES is working.
Warning Lead Time
The average time between DERES issuing a cascade alert and the event manifesting in the project. Longer lead time means more time to intervene.
Reduction in Unanticipated Cascades
The proportion of cascade incidents that were flagged by DERES before they became visible through conventional monitoring.
Decision Log Quality
Assessed against a governance rubric: completeness, rationale quality, stakeholder coverage, and audit-readiness.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Visibility
The proportion of affected stakeholder groups and ecological actors that were identified by DERES before the project team became aware through other means.
From pilot to sustainable platform.
DERES is designed to be financially sustainable without compromising its independence or its commitment to responsible engineering. The funding model evolves as the platform matures.
Innovation Grant / Industry Pilot Partnership
Initial development and pilot delivery funded through innovation grants and in-kind contributions from pilot partners. No commercial fee for pilot participants.
Subscription + Implementation Support
Post-pilot commercial model: annual platform subscription per project, with optional onboarding and implementation support packages.
Training & Governance Templates
Standalone training programmes and governance template libraries available to organisations not yet ready for full platform adoption.
How DERES reaches the engineering community.
Pilot Case Studies
Published findings from pilot projects, demonstrating real-world performance and governance value.
Industry Workshops
Practitioner workshops at engineering and infrastructure events, introducing DERES to project teams.
Professional Networks
Engagement through engineering institutions, ESG networks, and supply chain transparency forums.
ESG & Supply Chain Pressure
Growing regulatory and investor pressure on supply chain transparency and social risk disclosure creates natural demand.
